What I can suggest with your mods is make sure they're coming from Nexus. I am also using Windows 10, but launching the game through EA Origin.
There is a 4gb patch you may need to install look up NT Core 4gb patch. I'm using nexus mod manager at the moment, is there a command line i need to plug in so that it will launch DAO through origin? So i start looking for mods to enhance the graphics. I finally read that i needed to launch from origin.
